Randall entworfen und im Jahre 1869 fertiggestellt. Gurdon P. Randall kam aus Chicago, Illinois, aber er hat Architektur an der Boston Universit\u00e4t studiert. Er praktizierte Architektur drei\u00dfig Jahre lang in Chicago. Randall konzentrierte sich auf gro\u00dfe Geb\u00e4ude wie University Hall.<\/p>\n<p>University Hall ist ein Geb\u00e4ude auf dem Campus der Northwestern Universit\u00e4t. Dieses Geb\u00e4ude steht neben Harris Hall und dem Felsen genannt \u201cThe Rock.\u201c Der Felsen ist sehr ber\u00fchmt an der Northwestern. Man kann ihn bemalen mit kommenden Veranstaltungen, wie Z.B. NUDM. University Hall ist in der N\u00e4he von \u201cThe Arch\u201d auch eine ber\u00fchmte Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8225-e1439314242392.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2267 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8225-e1439314242392-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8225\" width=\"184\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8225-e1439314242392-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8225-e1439314242392-682x1024.jpg 682w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 184px) 100vw, 184px\" \/><\/a>University Hall ist im viktorianischen Gotik Stil entworfen. Die Viktorianische Gotik kam aus Gro\u00dfbritannien im Jahre 1740, aber war nicht ber\u00fchmt bis Mitte des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts. University Hall war das zweite Geb\u00e4ude an der Northwestern Universit\u00e4t. Der erste Geb\u00e4ude war \u201cDas alte College,\u201daber dieses Geb\u00e4ude war im Jahre 1973 verbrannt. University Hall, als es erst hergestellt war, stellt dort eine Mensa und ein Chemie Labor und zwei Sitzungss\u00e4le und ein Naturkundemuseum und auch all die Klassenzimmer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8227.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2269 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8227-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8227\" width=\"225\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8227-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8227-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/projects.madstudio.northwestern.edu\/bauhaus-and-beyond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_8227-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>Im Jahre 1993 wurde University Hall f\u00fcr 5.2 Millionen Dollar renoviert. Es war meiner Meinung nach keine gute Idee, weil das Geb\u00e4ude jetzt innen h\u00e4sslich aussieht. Die B\u00f6den und die Lichter sind zu modern f\u00fcr das Geb\u00e4ude. Von au\u00dfen repr\u00e4sentiert das Geb\u00e4ude noch den viktorianischen Gotik Stil. Ich finde den Uhrenturm besonders beindruckend. Er erinnert mich an Big Ben in London. Heute haust University Hall die Historische und Englischen Fakult\u00e4t.<\/p>\n<p>Randall hat auch ein anderes Geb\u00e4ude an der Northwestern Universit\u00e4t entworfen. Dieses Geb\u00e4ude hei\u00dft \u201cMusic Administration Building (MAB).\u201d Das Geb\u00e4ude ist auch sehr alt und ist verfallen, deshalb zieht die Musikabteilung zu einem neuen Geb\u00e4ude am Seerand. Nach dem Umzug wird MAB zerst\u00f6rt werden.
